Sup.
AJ is kinda stinky.
But nevermind.
3 things here:
1. We share notes/powerpoint slides, k? I will be scanning the AJ Econs notes for everyone (if they want them) this weekend hopefully. They seem more in depth than the NJ notes.
2. Who wants to watch Meet the Spartans this weekend or the next? If available, post on the tagboard?
3. To the two newcomers: Welcome to 08S11, the best class in NJ. I don't know what to say because I guess the class left an awesome impression on you. So yeah. Hi.
EMO NO MORE
LETS STOP EMOING ALRIGHT!
Hey 08S11-ers! Reading the previous posts makes me feel so sad and miserable! ITS NO DOUBT THAT WE MISS YOU ALL ALOT ALOT! Its no longer the same 08S11 without you guys!
Without Jon crapping and randomness and jokes.
Without Shengy cheerfulness! and laugher.
Without Wilson incessant talking.
Without Ming Liang's presence.
You all will always be part of 08s11 and of course we always welcome you all to all our outings and events and whatever!(including our occasional bitching and gossiping sessions!)
Haha! Okay, lets put this emo-ing to a stop and move on okay.. No matter where you all are, 08s11 we shall always be! =)
Also,
WELCOME TO THE 2 NEW STUDENTS!
YI NENG and FANG TIAN!
Hope you all will enjoy being in 08s11 as much as we do okay!

The Last Supper (part 2)
Before I tell the world, or at least 08s11 about how much we love Cass and Mel, I just have to be quite the asshole to make this thing scientific, because it is me.
I think we all have experienced what is known as the 5 stages of grief: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%BCbler-Ross_model
Stage 1: Denial. I guess that was on Tuesday and Wednesday. I honestly believed that they were going to see my appeal and approve it without a second's hesitation. What naiveté.
Stage 2: Anger. This kinda came later. Will talk more about it later.
Stage 3: Bargaining. This is where it turns into a sob story soap opera. Get your tissue, people.
I have never, ever been so happy in the last 6 weeks. Primary school, or at least Pri 1 to Pri 3 passed by without so much of great joy. It was normal, to say the least. Here's one thing you people would have never guessed. I was actually accepted in GEP, and went to Rosyth School. Yes, lessons were fun and enriching, but everyone was an elitist asshole. Then came Secondary School. I liked Catholic High, as a school and did enjoy myself quite a good bit, but for all the ups, there were many more downs. Rather, it was more like a sine curve; good then bad then good then bad. Catholic High was brotherly: I referred to teachers by first name (at sec 4, at least) and it was fun, but there were also many downs. I did something extremely, extremely stupid in Secondary 3. Ask Grace (I have no idea how she actually knows) or Luther about it. I nearly got expelled, but it was still fun and I loved my teachers and friends (even though my class sucked).
However, it was a totally different story at NJC. Life at NJ was an e^x curve. Every single thing I did with the class was fun an extremely enjoyable. I don't know why I chose to sit in the corner at Pizza Hut the night of the dance party. Neither did I actually enjoy the first dance party because 1, I can't dance and 2, I had no shoes and my feet got trampled on goshdarn many times. However, I don't think I will ever forget the second dance party. I will remember Audrey's (Cheong) quirkiness, Dilys joining Audrey in insanity, Clarice and Jieling dancing together, Mylene giving me a glowstick (which I will cherish as a souvenir forever, in memory of 08S11), Qiao Wei asking me if I wanted a second helping of dinner, Melinda for being Melinda, Audrey Ho for her awesome dance moves, Cassie for not dancing with *cough* (hides), Yuhui for being sporty, Geraldine for the SCGS cheer (And Audrey Cheong as well), Melissa for new shoes and Cheryl Heng for having so many glowsticks and letting her hair down. So where's the bargain in this roundabout gibberish? I sobbed on my home on the bus. I was praying to God for just one more day with 08S11, then for him to take me to the Kingdom of Heaven, or if I was not deserving, then eternal damnation, because at that point, life was meaningless. It was like an adrenaline junkie going sky-diving, then realising that he forgot his parachute. It felt like death. I honestly prayed to God much of the night to give me one more day with 08S11 then banish me to hell for being such a coward and I meant every word in my prayer, because this class has opened so many, many doors for me, and leaving 08S11 seems to have closed many, many, many more doors.
Stage 4: Depression. That's yesterday, I guess. I cocooned myself in the sick bay of AJC all day, from 9 in the morning till 3+ when I went to NJ. Life felt so meaningless, so insignificant, so worthless and stupid.
Anger: So my Dad called me at 3. He went down to NJ and tried to talk to the VP. It was unsuccessful. I asked if me going down would help. He said I could try. I never did get to try. I was shown the door faster than learning how to say pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. (F0r reference, pronounce it as such: pneu-mono-ultra-microscopic-silico-volcano-co-niosis) I was cursing the school for it's stupidity. *insert more emo thoughts here*
Stage 5: Acceptance. I guess this is it now. I've accepted the fact that I can't be an NJ student, but I don't think I will fully accept AJ as my JC and be happy there. 08S11 will be my class, always.
More messages:
Cass: It's obvious that you like that guy. Society is liberal. Ask him out for a date or something. You have nothing to lose! On another note, you are such a happy person. I do hope that you always remain happy.
Mel: You have too many shoes. What more can I say? I do hope that you continue to enjoy French. Au revoir, madammoiselle, ayez l'amusement dedans NJC.
Weiwen: I hope that your old specs are okay. You are such a hyperactive person. I will miss your energy and Terra House. Your advice to us who wanted to run for Council was invaluable. TERRA OEI!
Daniel: Thank you so much for everything. I leave you with this:
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" "What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?" He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live." But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn in Jericho and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.'
"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?"
The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." - Luke 10:25-37 (NIV)
You are than good Samaritan. God be with you always.
Thing Thing: You've always had a problem with your ankle. I hope that there will be no recurring injuries when your ankle is concerned.
How I feel right now: My heart has essentially be crushed, dessicated, shredded to pieces and wretched to the point that it will never recover. It's currently being held together by hardening glue. I will never be the same again. Sigh.
Yours Sadly,
Wilson.

URGENT AND VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Attention 08S11!!! We have to do a video for some big day (I think it's for some friendship day). We have to submit a short video clip that is no longer than 3 minutes by 17 March, 5pm. The issue that we have to work with is: "Conservation of Natural Resources", and we have 2 questions to choose from: "How does _____________ affect relations between Singapore and other countries?" and "How is Singapore working with other countries to address the issue?" The overall theme for the whole project is "Unity among Diversity" (whatever that means) and we have to include Singapore and at least 2 other countries in our video.
Things to note:
1) Only NJC students can participate in the project (which means we can't get Fann Wong to act in our video or MediaCorp to do filming for us).
2)Any languages other than English spoken in the video need subtitles accompanying them. (eg. "Sawadika" needs the accompanying "Hello")
3) No vulgarities (shit!), racial/religion discriminating comments
4) No copyright=) all original please
5) Lastly, if we need anything, we can ask our senior class! (Yes, we have been given permission to bug them=))
SOOOOOOOO................get cracking on those ideas people! You have the whole weekend=) See ya on Monday!
Lurve, Mylene <33
P.S. To Wilson: The whole class misses you too=( Your incessant chatter which was once so annoying is now so sorely missed. Come back and see us regularly ok? KI wont be the same without you.
The Last Supper
Hi everyone, Wilson here.
I guess this is it. This is goodbye then. It is extremely painful to write this, because I honestly love this class. In this six weeks, I have never, ever experienced such joy, fun and laughter in my life. I have just started, but I am honestly crying already. Yes, I talk a lot; yes I stone quite a bit; yes I didn't go out with you all for several class dinners nor did I work with you all for stuff like the lantern or the feedback box (I hope that Feed Becks works btw), but I still love this class and I feel like I am actually part of it. You people have changed me. One of the few things I regret is ponning the final dance session where you learnt Summer's Night. I stank after the War Games that day and due to my lack of change of clothes and footwear, I never turned up. To you guys, sorry. The most foolish thing I have ever done, I feel, was to not join you people at ECP. I had no reason not to do it, but I didn't go. To everyone again, sorry.
So here's my message to each and every one of you guys, in no order of preference whatsoever.
Geraldine: Our CT Rep! I will miss you chastising me for talking too much. You're a fun person to be with, and if others notice, your cheeks tend to get red easily *cough*. I will try and keep everything I say short and sweet, just like you. (Being short isn't a bad thing, really. My best friend from Catholic High isn't much taller than you) You were in Gymnastics in SCGS. I don't know if NJ has Gymnastics. I think I saw an advert for it on the CCA board at the atrium, but a cross reference to the NJ website and the Student Handbook say that there isn't gymnastics. So, whatever CCA you are joining/have joined, I wish you good luck in it.
Mylene: House Rep! I think everyone will agree with me that you are essentially the heart of the class. You care about everyone and make the effort to interact with every single person in class. Thank you for asking how me how my appeal went; it just goes to show how much spirit there is in this class. Sorry for never replying to the relay system, though, because now, I really wish I could, because I would never receive a relay message from Rong Sheng who in turn, received it from you, ever again. Don't ever worry about being "un-glam", because seriously, radiant personality, everyone will like you, no matter how you are on the outside. I do hope that you have fun with Soccer, if you are continuing with it. Oh, and your cake.... needed more sugar. Valentine's Day comes once a year, we can binge a bit, you know! =p
Having covered the two "leaders" of the class, I don't know who to pick to continue next, so let me try and be fair and continue by index numbers.
Sheng Hui: SHENGY! I don't know know a lot about you, quite sadly, but I will miss peeking into your GP file. I heard that you got rejected too. I wish you all the best then, in whatever JC you are in. Just remember this class, like I will!
Audrey Cheong: You share the same birthday as me! That is quite cool! From what I observed at last night's dance party, you are such a fun person. I hope that you continue to have fun in NJC and soccer. Remember me as the guy who shares the same birthday as you!
Dilys: I don't know why your crumpler bag faces forward when most people have it facing the back. Why is it that way? More convenient to get things from your bag? I wish you all the best in touch rugby anyhow.
Clarice: I spell your name correctly, therefore I am abnormal. Right, Claris? *cough* Don't be so pessimistic about life/school. Wait, I am actually being a hypocrite here, because I am so not having fun at AJ because all I do is to think about 08S11. Anyhow, you have the same chinese name as my cousin, I realised. And fine, I will use more Singlish, okay or not?
PS: You all need to make Clarice more happy hor, her MSN nick is so emo, damn scary leh!
Cheryl Heng: Like what Sheng Hui said, you ARE cute, especially when you smile. Smile more! Thanks for the advice with regards to certain somethings. *cough* Plans fell through in the end, but thanks again anyway!
Audrey Ho: One Audrey shares my birthday; the other shares my surname! HI! I get this vibe that you don't really like me. I guess it stems from my lack of enthusiasm during the dance sessions during our orientation. Anyway, that doesn't matter anymore since I am no longer in NJ. Well, you are really an awesome dancer and I'm sorry I didn't do you justice by being your dance partner during the dance sessions the first few times.
Grace: I like that aura of "coolness" I sense which surrounds you. Thank you also, for helping me, along with Cheryl. Yeah, read two paragraphs up. Anyway, I wish you good luck with *cough*sidekick*cough*.
Sze Wai: One thing I will never forget about you: "Sze Wai's 08S11" in the optional Econs Essay we had to do. To those who don't get it (I think you all do but... just in case), Notice when Sze Wai writes her name, it's "Sze Wai's". Well, have fun!
Jieling: Jeffrey Archer really is light reading. =p Anyway, I hope that you suffer no more cuts while playing the clarinet. Tell me what your MSN nickname mean! If you're free, try Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. That's quite a good read. =D
Eunice: Okay, I'm going to be honest here. I don't really know much about you, but you seem like a fun person, so here's me wishing you fun-ness in your life!
Yuhui: 08S1111. You talk quite a lot (in a good way); with many stories to tell. You're such a chirpy person; I wish you all the best in Touch Rugby, along with Dilys, and go win every other JC with your sister-sister partnership with Dao Min.
Melinda: You are such a great person. I am actually at a loss for words. We talk quite a good bit on MSN, but suddenly, I don't know what to write. So, I leave you with a quote from the Good Book: Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God. - Matt 5:8
Nara: You're also such a friendly person, but again, you're one of the few people I don't really know that well. Well, all the best in all that you do! You have a cool middle name though. May you, like a tiara, sparkle, always.
Qiao Wei: I admire you for your frankness in everything that you say. Your straight-forward nature is seldom seen today and I admire you for that spunk. Nevermind about being disorganised and stuff: what's there to worry about anyway?
Cheryl Tay: STOP! Essentially your defining moment in Chinese class. One thing I don't get is why Sheng Hui and you are always late for class together, but what the hell! It doesn't matter anymore, does it? Hope you have fun in squash!
Jocelyn: You have such long hair! How do you manage to take care of it and maintain it? Anyway, you didn't seem to be enjoying yourself at last night's dance party. Why? It was quite fun. Hope you enjoy yourself in choir!
Hian Kek: You are appealling to RJC right? Did you manage to appeal successfully? If you did, then I wish you all the best in that high-stress environment. If you didn't; then hey! You have such a wonderful class! Interact more!
Minli: Mug less! Spend more time with the class! =D
NORTH: Compasses stop working around you. You are such a fun guy. And such a great drummer. Don't pon KI and have fun with your 100 CCAs, okay?
Elvin: You are so good-natured. I don't know what to say about you except that you are such a nice guy. A grandparent of yours recently passed away. Sorry I don't know exactly who it is, but I am sure that your grandparent has lead a full and happy life, so please do not be upset for too long. Have fun with flute-playing in CO!
Luther: I have so much to say, but my brain seems to be shorting out on me. Thanks for your concern about my grandfather. *insert stuff about how fun your $2 trick was and for your nerd spectacles* So yeah, I hope to see you come to AJ to play away against AJ in soccer. Own them!
Jonathan: THING THING! The clown of the class. I will miss you. I am sure the rest of the class will as well. Well, good luck with SAJC and I do hope that you have fun.
Rong Sheng: Thanks for lending me your maths for reference for multiple times. I'm so going to miss your help in maths, but thank you again. Have fun with the class, okay?
Ming Liang: You never really interacted with the class, but I am sure that nobody blames you. I do hope that you have fun opposite the road.
CASS AND MEL: I AM TOO MENTALLY TIRED AND DEPRESSED TO CONTINUE. HOPEFULLY I WILL FIND THE STRENGTH TO CONTINUE TOMORROW!
Good night everyone.
Yours Sadly,
Wilson.
